Dato’ Johan is the Chairman of Mitraland Group, having bought into the company in 2009. With over 30 years in the industry, he has extensive experience and exposure in banking, insurance, and real estate development.
He has previously worked with Citibank, served on boards of Maybank, Etiqa, and helmed several property development companies in the country, including serving the nation during the Asian Financial Crisis as Head of Property at Danaharta. He received his early education at the Penang Free School, before winning a government scholarship to further his studies at Indiana University, USA.
Upon obtaining his BA. Economics, he went on to the University of Miami, where he completed his MBA.
